I started TechTrek, to help people with technology. I've always found technology useful, and I love helping others use it.
Question: Why hire you when I already have a family member, Cousin Timmy, who will do it for free?
Answer: Timmy is a great guy, but he's not a professional IT consultant. He may miss a step or be unaware of details that could negatively impact the end results. I have years of experience with technology.

Question: Why hire you when I can hire an IT firm?
Answer: IT firms can be expensive. I'm more affordable, and I'm flexible with my hours. I can work with you on a project-by-project basis, or I can provide ongoing support. I started TechTrek to be the affordable option between free help from a family member and expensive IT firms. I offer competitive rates and flexible payment options, so you can get the help you need without breaking the bank.
I'm passionate about helping people with technology, and I'm confident that I can provide you with the best possible service. Whether you need help with a simple task or a complex project, I'm here to help. I'm always learning new things and if I'm unable to help you, I'll connect you with someone that can.
I grew up watching Star Trek the Next Generation. Not only were there cool spaceships, exotic aliens, and a computer that you could talk to, but there was a message. Gene Roddenberry had a vision of a world that embraced the differences between cultures and religions. As a child I didn't recognize these lessons within the show. I first realized that Star Trek was more than just awesome Sci-fi when I went on Star Trek The Cruise III. From the moment I got to the hotel the night before, there were no strangers. I met people from all over the world and from the first hello it was like talking to lifelong friends. Imagine being on a ship with 3000 people that all share a common belief: that we are all unique individuals and by embracing our differences, not fearing them, we can learn and grow from each other to create a better world.
This belief guides me though life. From my wide variety of jobs, different educational paths, and a passion for learning about people and what makes them unique I am able to personalize my services to fit my clients needs.

Every situation life leads us to is a learning opportunity if we are ready and don't let our own hubris block the message. I am fascinated to learn and understand why an individual thinks, believes, and rationalizes their version of right and wrong. Through this discovery process I have found friends in places I never would have dreamed.
